Solitary Man Movie The 65 year-old Hollywood movie star, Michael Douglas is currently working on Brian Koppelman and David Levien’s film “Solitary Man” along with co-stars Susan Sarandon, Danny DeVito and Jenna Fischer.

This movie, which started productions in November 2008 is said to be of the drama genre. According to the Directors, their likes lie on the drama genre as many prefer this type than any other and that their obligation is to deliver what the fans like.

Solitary Man Movie Trailer” depicts the life story of a man who once was car magnate and then loses his business and marriage over financial and romantic indiscretions over time.He could make a comeback to where he was through the only chance he has, offered by his new girlfriend’s father. The deal is to take his girl friend’s daughter on a weekend college visit and the condition is just simple, it is for him to behave himself while with her. Whether he could abide by the conditions or not is the question!

Talking about the cast, we all know Michael Douglas as the son of the legendary, Kirk Douglas. But he has, of course, proved himself to be a talented actor/producer who is worth watching through his award winning performances. He has been awarded with a Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award and two Golden Globe awards so far.Two of the prestigious Academy Awards under his belt are, as producer for “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and the other for Best Actor “Wall Street” This handsome actor, though aging, still perceives his acting career to be a bright one.

Susan Sarandon, who has her name on the cards as an Oscar winning actress was awarded an Oscar as Best Actress in a leading Role for “Dead Man Walking”. Other awards include, as Best Actress (BAFTA Film Awards) for “The Client”, as Best Actress (BSFC Award) for “Bull Durham” and many more including a number of nominations, appears in “Solitary Man” for yet another award winning performance just like many others she has given us. Playing the role of the girlfriend of Michael Douglas, she has brought out all the talents she possesses with some classy acting which is so much unique and natural.

The multi-talented, Danny DeVito, who is an actor, director and producer, Oscar nominee and an achiever of many globally recognized awards and nominations, plays a small part in this movie. He plays the role of a close friend of Michael Douglas as in the case of many other movies which he is best for according to the public eye.

The stunning, beautiful, glamorous Jenna Fischer, most popularly known for playing Pam Beesly on the NBC sitcom, “The Office” and the winner and nominee for many internationally recognized awards, creeps in to this movie to play the role of Michael Douglas’s girlfriend’s daughter. She has the looks, is energetic, attractive and appealing in her own way which could make any man fall for her. Whether or not Michael falls for her is something to think about.

“Solitary Man” is said to be produced by Paul Schiff and Steven Soderbergh with Executive Producers Avi Lerner, Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short, Moshe Diamant and Joe Gatta.

This movie which is filmed at different locations within New York, United States is scheduled to be released on the 17th May 2010.

Let’s hope the movie brings us more entertainment than what is expected!
