Edie Falco won two SAG awards for the Sopranos in 2008. Will she score again with Nurse Jackie in 2010?

Showtime stars Michael C. Hall, Edie Falco and Toni Collette continued to rack up awards nominations this week, with each scoring one today from the Screen Actors Guild.

SAG gave Hall a nod for best actor in a TV drama for his performance as Dexter Morgan on Dexter. Falco and Collette are both up for best actress in a TV comedy for their work: Falco as Jackie Peyton on Nurse Jackie and Collette as Tara Gregson on United States of Tara.

The cast of Dexter also earned recognition from the guild, with a nom for best ensemble in a TV drama and a nod for best stunt work.

Clearly, Alanis Morissette fit in on the set of Weeds. The Canadian singer reveals  in the new issue of High Times that she smokes up to help stoke her creative fires.

“I’ve often felt telepathic and receptive to inexplicable messages my whole life,” she said in an interview in the January issue.

“I can stave those off when I’m not high. When I’m high — well, they come in and there’s less of a veil, so to speak.”

Her comfort level with smoking pot has risen because of her boyfriend, an advocate of medical marijuana, and thanks to cannabis-loving friends of his including Woody Harrelson and Alicia Silverstone, Morissette said.

And with her role as Dr. Audra Kitson likely to recur in Season 6, we’re guessing the high times will continue at work.

Designer Isaac Mizrahi serves as creative director of Liz Claiborne, and this past summer struck a deal with QVC. Mizrahi pops onto QVC this weekend to hawk his goods, which will hopefully share some of the same bright, cheery designs we saw for his stint at Target and his work at Liz Claiborne.

Of course, this isn’t only apparel we’re talking about. QVC is taking a chance with Mizrahi by giving him his own space within QVC headquarters. The brand is dubbed a lifestyle brand, and will definitely cover clothing and accessories, but also delve into home decor and even food!

Isaac will appear on QVC December 5th at 8pm EST from a space especially developed for his collection.

I actually forgot or was misinformed that the Victoria’s Secret fashion show was on last night. I ended up watching Hoarders and then putting on Home Alone (a really glam life, no?). While I was watching messy houses and Kevin McAlister, the Angels were waltzing down the glittery runway, all smiles and kissy faces.

From the buzz (or lack of) on Twitter, it seems the show was another flop, just as it has been for the past few years. Too much entertainment and not enough modeling, so if you’re actually into fashion, it really isn’t the show for you. The getups were as silly as usual. I love fantasy, but a lot of the looks aren’t really dreamy…they’re just a hot mess.

Back when Lo and company lived in Juicy Couture sweats and Louis Vuitton monogram handbags, I wasn’t a huge fan of Lo’s style. Yet, like all young girls, as Lo grew up, so did her style. For awhile, it was classic, and actually channeled an Olivia Palermo-like vibe with lots of low, tight buns, slightly winged eyeliner, and classic pieces such as high waist skirts.

Now Lo seems to have dipped into the ’80s, wearing leggings just about every single day and topping them with huge shirts. More than that, she loves big hair, too much makeup and dangly earrings that could rival a drag queen’s. Overall, I have to give a nay to Lo’s current style and am glad to have her off my TV for the time being (The Hills finale aired last night).

Toni Collette’s character on United States of Tara has many alternate personalities, but it will take a new friendship for Tara to see how her life path could have been different.

In Season 2, Tara will meet and befriend a free-spirited artist who reminds her of the life she could’ve had if she hadn’t move to the Kansas City suburbs to raise her family, Collette recently told Entertainment Weekly.

As we reported this summer, the artist will be played played by Oscar nominee Viola Davis (Doubt), shown here at the Law Abiding Citizen film premiere last month. She will appear in six episodes.

The experience “is like holding up a mirror of sorts” for Tara, Collette said. “They have an elusive, mystical bond.”

Season 2 of United States of Tara premieres March 22 on Showtime.

Count winter 2009 as an “on” moment in the on-again, off-again relationship between Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers and his beauty-industry mogul girlfriend, Reena Hammer.

While rumors swirled that Hammer dropped Jonny Boy after his rough patch with drinking (and the arrest that followed), Reena recently said she’s standing by her man — and has been for some time.

“We have been together through everything in the past five years,” she told The Telegraph.

In fact, Hammer, who at 23 years old runs the creative arm of Urban Retreat, the beauty company founded by her father, said she’s considered getting hitched to her Irish bad boy.

“Marriage has come up a few times as we have been together for so long: it would be lovely,” she said. “I am still young and there is no rush, but you never know.”

While that doesn’t sound too serious, consider this: The couple, shown here kanoodling on the red carpet at the Rome Film Festival in 2007, will be entertaining both of their families this Christmas at their London home.

“I will be cooking for 10 people, which is quite scary,” Hammer joked.

Has anyone else noticed that with her promotion for her new album, Lady Gaga’s style has gotten a wee-bit normal? Not that that’s a bad thing, as her huge eyes and platinum blond hair actually remind me of a more intense Gwen Stefani.

At Sunday night’s American Music Awards, Gaga performed a slow song while playing piano and we got to see her face for once. This remained throughout the night, even after a costume change. At a recent Best Buy in-store appearance, she also went “normal,” wearing a bold red lip, big sunglasses and loose hair. I love wild fashion and stars who are willing to experiment with it, but for once it’s refreshing to see this slight make-under, so we’re able to see the lady behind the music.
