Speculate Woman has had a tough time on screens lately, with a feature movie using seemingly forever to build, and a Tv edition dying on the vine. And, in common, the concept of the heroine isn’t really as rigorously explored as is the concept of the male superhero.
But the cinematic heroine is even now a powerful figure. A new documentary seems at the birth of the superheroine, and the improvement of the well-liked image of the powerful woman. Surprise Girls! The Untold Story of American Superheroines will premiere at SXSW in the next handful of weeks, but we’ve obtained the trailer for the doc under.
So this isn’t just a doc about Question Woman, but a more bold appear from Kristy Guevara-Flanagan at how that character influenced many generations of ladies and storytellers.
